Both Lennie and Ellie have been treated for e.cuniculi in the past. E.cunicili is a parasite that affects the nervous system, eyes and kidneys of rabbits. Sometimes the reactions can be reversed after treatment, sometimes the effects remain after the infection has been cleared.
Ellie has neurological issues, Lennie went blind. We take great care in ensuring their room is always set up the same, there is soft padding on the floor and there are no sharp or hard objects they could run into. They adore each other!
