⚓ 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲: Ardora S.A. visits Prague

We recently welcomed Ardora's Antonio Martín González, Javier Martínez Nazara, Daniel Romero, Gonzalo Martínez Rodríguez and Adrián Casal for two days at our Prague HQ.

Founded in Vigo, Spain, back in 1975, Ardora carries an incredible half a century of experience, keeping engines running for the maritime and industrial sectors. That's exactly the kind of depth that makes them one of our most seasoned partners in the region, with marine control systems now a growing part of that work.

Between an evening in Prague's Old Town and a walk through Prague Castle, the two days made room for real business too: sessions on marine trends and certification, an introduction to our 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝟳𝟬𝟬 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 engine supervision system, and a tour of our Prague offices.

Antonio, Ardora's owner, calls ComAp a strategic partner and the relationship "almost a family". The feeling is mutual.

🍂 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗻, 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱 | workshop with Aranžérie

On the last morning of September, a few colleagues from our Prague office spent some time away from their desks, working with glass bowls and dried flowers instead.

Leading the session was a familiar team from Aranžérie, the social enterprise of Společnost E (Czech Epilepsy Association), back with us after several mornings like this one. Some colleagues made autumn wreaths, others tried a "Desert in a glass bowl" arrangement, all moss, branches and small found things.

It may be that the materials change with the season. But what stays the same is why we keep doing this. Aranžérie's mission is to create job opportunities for people who are disadvantaged in the labour market.

The workshops just happen to be the nicest part of how that mission shows up for us. And we are already looking curious what the next one in the spring brings.

From Yokohama, and on to ComAp Italy in Quinto di Treviso, near Venice.

Alessia joined ComAp Italy in late 2019 as a junior Admin Officer, and has spent the years since outgrowing that title. She played a hands-on part in one of the company's biggest internal system overhauls, and has since stepped up to manage a trickier corner of the business: the administrative side of project operations.

Away from the spreadsheets, she's also the one who pulls ComAp Italy's team events together, and often the first friendly voice customers and colleagues get on the phone.

Piero puts it down to her innovative mindset and her ease with people, colleagues and customers alike, and it's the way she brings that together that makes the company's values feel real, not just something printed on a wall.

It may be a different kind of control room to the ones ComAp builds. But it runs on the same idea: get the process right, and everything downstream gets simpler.

Another name behind ComAp's day-to-day, and one more reason it runs the way it does.
