Re-Bath Decatur
Since 2000, Re-Bath in Decatur, IL has made bathroom remodeling economical, stylish, and worry-free for homeowners across Central Illinois. Conveniently located just north of Downtown Decatur, we’ve proudly served the community for more than 25 years with a streamlined process that completes most projects in as little as 3–5 days. Our certified installers handle full remodels, tub and shower replacements, and accessibility upgrades like walk-in tubs, grab bars, slip-resistant floors, and low-threshold showers. With exclusive products, a fixed-price promise, and the backing of a national brand that has completed over 1,000,000 remodels, we deliver peace of mind and results you’ll love.
Jeff and Robin came back to Re-Bath for a second project after loving the level of service they received the first time around.Their home, built in the mid-1800s, came with plenty of character—and a few unique plumbing and design challenges.
Their goal was to remove the existing claw-foot tub and replace it with a walk-in shower that worked naturally within the space.
Designer Brennen got creative with a custom shower configuration that made the most of the room while working around the home's existing conditions. From there, our team brought the plan to life with a walk-in shower designed to fit both Jeff and Robin’s needs and the character of their home.
The result is a more functional space that feels like it belongs there—and another Re-Bath project Jeff and Robin were thrilled to see come together.

The ask here was a better functioning shower in the same space. The existing fiberglass unit had a built-in seat that wasn't being used often. Most homeowners tell us the built-in seats take away much wanted floor space and make the shower feel smaller than it actually is. Fiberglass units aren't flush with studs and take up even more space than necessary.
We took out the old one-piece unit, replaced it with a slightly bigger shower base (pulled out 2 inches into the bathroom), Durabath walls, new plumbing fixtures and accessories from Moen and a shower door. The homeowners were thrilled with the outcome.
