Oak Ridge Feed

Karen Appreciation Post

No, not that kind of Karen.

The best kind of Karen - Karen Pate. She has never sought the spotlight, preferring to let the dogs do the talking, but I can't let this end without acknowledging that Oak Ridge Feed and The Grooming Room would have never gotten started without her, let alone lasted 25 years.

Karen has not only been our primary groomer since we moved to the Dresden Road building in 2003, providing beautiful haircuts to so many dogs over the years with her calm demeanor and decades of experience in all facets of all things canine.

Karen is also my sister-in-law. I have literally known her my whole life. She has been there for all the ups and downs, and she remains a constant, steadying presence through these final days.

Please join me in celebrating the amazing person who has done so much for the dogs of Oak Ridge and the surrounding community over the last... well, more years than any of us want to count.

Here's to you, Karen. Thank you.
