Steve Sanders Raku

I thought I’d introduce you to a couple friends that work with me to produce my Raku. They are both In The Raku firing Union and charge me plenty for their services. Without them though I wouldn’t be able to keep the smoke in the can as effectively.
Hey, it’s a lot of work to do a lot of pieces of Raku …nice to have a little help!
Luckily feeding them doesn’t cost me much.

Now for Unlidded vases.... A warning. If your eyes are sensitive to bright colors...please look away. Cheers

Here’s more of the new pieces with the technique change. Real pictures to come soon

Firing today reminded me of not how much I know but the opposite. And that I can still learn.
I changed a little bit of the copper matte firing process and got a very nice response. I took one pic… blow it up a bit if you look and some color will pop for ya. Better pics to come
