Brech Racing

He’s busting out of this joint!! Got the ok from Dr’s, PT and OT! Time to get home and start healing!! Ryder wants to give a HUGE shout out to everyone that commented, texted, called or messaged him to get better!! He really did feel all the love and prayers!!

We actually got released late Friday and drove through the night to get back home. We are all back home recovering!!

Prepped practice today at Fiddler Creek MX Park! Ryder’s buddy and mentor Diesel Thomas is here today too!! It’s been a minute since Ryder has been able to hang out with him! This photo was the last time. I will get a photo of them today as well!

Brech Racing

Racing season is in full swing and it’s been a hot minute since we have posted. #123 set aside his hockey skates and has been ripping dirt already at a few races this summer. Unfortunately the official team photographer (aka Mom) was not able to attend many races as she was doing double duty with cheer and graduations. But, we have a few fun videos and photos!

So far Ryder has raced at 3 tracks and done well. Each track having its own characteristics and difficulty.

The track he has chosen to run for a point series aka Championship is Westfair in Council Bluffs IA. He had his first race there in May and did well coming home with two third places! This is a huge accomplishment for him and we are so proud!

To keep his wheels in the dirt Ryder then raced at Diamond track and hit a first and 2 seconds in his classes- he had such a fun time with his friends! That’s what it’s all about!

This past weekend was one of our favorites; and we all got to go! In this team manger’s eyes- this rider fought harder than I have ever seen. This kid couldn’t catch a break (or a decent start!). You name it- he had issues with it on the track!

He jumped the gate at the start, he stalled out in the start, he got smooshed and ended up dead last out of the gates… BUT what he did not do was give up.

Here is where this kid absolutely amazed all of us. He would be dead last- way behind the pack. But he would come screaming around the corners!

A few times this team manager almost had her mom voice come out and yell “be careful and slow down!”. Anyone who knows Ryder’s team manager knows those words do not come out of her mouth at the track! Usually it’s “get going, hit that corner tighter, go faster, use the motor, what are you doing?”…

His ability and determination to pick up spots was so impressive to watch- that’s what makes us so proud. 🥲 he never gave up.

Even more- his maturity and accountability. He never blamed anyone else. It wasn’t “the bike did this or that.” “The track was muddy”. Blah, blah, blah…He told us “I did it, I jumped the line” or “I was in the wrong gear” “I hit the corner wrong”. As we all know- admitting you are wrong is one of the hardest things to do as a human. But he did it.

So- sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you’re the bug. Ryder definitely was the bug a few times yesterday! But he took it like the head of the bug world!

Thank you to every one of his sponsors and supporters! We couldn’t do it without you!
